Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with incidence rates rising each year. This includes both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Several factors may increase your risk of developing melanoma, including excessive sun exposure, a history of sunburns during childhood, personal or family history of skin cancer, having fair skin, and possessing a large number of moles or atypical moles. However, having one or more of these risk factors does not guarantee that you will develop skin cancer. Awareness and regular skin assessments are essential for early detection and effective prevention.
